Our Porsche Boxster Might Win a Prestigious Award in New York

The 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 was certainly exciting earlier this month at the Geneva Motor Show. While we certainly enjoyed seeing a new Porsche model in attendance, here at Ira Porsche we find ourselves looking forward to the New York Auto Show for another reason altogether. We won't be seeing an exciting new Porsche model this time but, we are happy to report that our 2013 Porsche Boxster is up for a prestigious award during the show in New York.

Porsche Teams up with Aha Radio for Sweet Infotainment Features


Recently, luxury auto brand Porsche had an intense "Aha" moment when it showed off its partnership with Aha infotainment systems at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Aha will now be offered as a portion of the brand's Online Services option that's available on all Porsche models. Aha is designed to offer drivers a more seamless connectivity service behind the wheel.

Porsche Produces 911 50th Anniversary Edition Book


There aren't many automobiles on the market that have had the long, storied history that the Porsche 911, which has been in production since 1963 and has an impressive history on the race track, has in its arsenal. Porsche fans everywhere are excited to see luxury sports car brand keeping up with the times as far as all things "green" are concerned. With the new Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Concept, an e-Hybrid (which is Porsche 'talk' for a PHEV, Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), the brand is breaking new ground for fuel-efficient, eco-friendly vehicles that are also fast and powerful. Porsche Will Commemorate 911 50th Anniversary with Special Surprise


Director of the iconic Porsche 911 lineup, August Achleitner, wants everyone to know that the oldest Porsche nameplate still has a lot of offer, but also that it's important to remember the amazing vehicles the lineup has given Porsche enthusiasts over its (almost!) 50 years on the road. Speaking at a media event recently, Achleitner noted that there would be a surprise in store to celebrate the vehicle's half-century anniversary.

Porsche Plans 961 to Directly Target Competitor Ferrari


Luxury auto brand Porsche has been quite ambitious as of late, even setting a sales goal of 200,000 units for the year 2018- nearly double the number of units sold over the past few years. These large numbers seem difficult to reach after the brand has decided to cancel plans for a new entry-level model slotted below the Porsche Boxster; however, the company has a plan to combat these woes.This plan involves taking sales from luxury competitor Ferrari with a vehicle that will slot between the Porsche 911 GT2 RS and the soon-to-come Porsche 918 supercar.
